Counterpoint Day Treatment Program
Our Counterpoint Day Treatment Program provides intensive, comprehensive treatment services for youth who have sexual behavior problems, many of whom have experienced trauma and abuse. Our services are provided year-round, and youth attend a full day of programming within a therapeutic milieu at an on-site accredited school. Our goals are to prevent and eliminate any future issues of sexual behavioral problems, to reduce adverse effects from trauma and abuse, and to help the youth acquire pro-social skills to increase successful transitions to the community.
In addition to education, Counterpoint therapists provide individual, family, and group therapy along with intensive case management to treat any existing mental health conditions and help the youth gain the skills that will allow them to successfully transition back home to family or to another appropriate setting in the community. Counterpoint staff work closely with caseworkers, court counselors, and other professionals to ensure that each youth has a personalized and cohesive treatment team to increase the chance of successful outcomes.
Youth referred by OYA or DHS may benefit from being placed with a specially trained and caring foster parent to provide a 24/7 treatment environment. The foster parents provide structure, safety, and support to increase the youth’s ability to be accountable, demonstrate empathy, and graduate with new, pro-social behaviors.
We recruit, certify, train, and support foster parents. Get to know our foster program through the eyes of Fran and Brayden.

Eligibility Criteria
Counterpoint Day Treatment accepts male youth between the ages of 13 to 17 whose history of sexual behavior problems has negatively impacted the youth’s ability to remain safely in a less-restrictive setting in the community.
Admission to the program requires acknowledgement of inappropriate sexual behavior. We strongly encourage families to be involved as research demonstrates that family involvement is key to successful transitions.
