Morrison Child and Family Services is a nationally recognized leader in behavioral health care, dedicated to providing high-quality, trauma-informed programs and services to children and families.
Founded in 1947 by Dr. Carl Morrison, one of Oregon’s first child psychiatrists and a leading advocate for increasing access to mental health services for children and families, Morrison continues to be guided by his vision today.
Our organization has been at the forefront of children’s mental health for over 75 years. Over the decades, we have grown and evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities we serve across Oregon and beyond.
Today, we are here for you and committed to supporting the well-being and potential of every child and family we serve.
Our Mission
Helping kids be kids and supporting families when they need us most.
Our Vision
Communities where children and families are safe, healthy, and thriving.
Our Values
Our values are reflected in the following Sanctuary Model Commitments:
Non-violence: Providing physical, emotional, social, and moral safety for all.
Emotional Intelligence: Managing feelings well for the care-of-others and self.
Social Learning: Practicing the utmost respect for the ideas of everyone.
Democracy: Having shared decision making whenever possible.
Open Communication: Saying what we mean, without being mean as we say it.
Social Responsibility: Ensuring teamwork that includes everyone’s contributions.
Growth and Change: Co-creating transformation for a hopeful future.
A heartbeat of quality emanates throughout the organization. From this place of strength, we lead our organization forward together.
Morrison was founded by a group of compassionate citizens and physicians committed to providing mental health services for children in the community.
Established in February 2017, The Morrison Foundation sustains and expands financial support of Morrison Child and Family Services.
