Committed to Quality
Morrison Child & Family Services is routinely recognized for providing high-quality care and services to the children and families we serve. In fact, we strive to be known for our quality by our funders, supporters, partners, regulators, and community and most importantly by the children and families we serve.
We believe that best efforts simply are not good enough. We have made being known for our quality a strategic goal for our organization and our teams work tirelessly to deliver on this promise.
We are dedicated to continuously improving our services and sponsor quality improvement committees and compliance initiatives throughout the organization. We use data to prove outcomes and improve our programs.
We receive multiple external audits and conduct internal reviews aimed at ensuring that our programs and services reflect quality, safety, and compliance with federal, state, and county regulations.
We are particularly proud that local and national audits reveal that our programs are successful, our staff are dedicated, and children, youth and families benefit from the services that we provide.
The Joint Commission
The mission of The Joint Commission is to continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.
The Joint Commission does this by setting quality standards, evaluating an organization’s performance, and providing an interactive educative experience that provides innovative solutions and resources to support continuous improvement.
While there are several optional accreditation bodies for the work that we do, we selected The Joint Commission because we share in their vision, which is that all people always experience the safest, highest quality, best-value health care across all settings. And because for more than 70 years, The Joint Commission has been a global driver of quality improvement and patient safety in health care.
Achieving Joint Commission accreditation demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement in patient care. Joint Commission accreditation tells your patients you’re committed to providing safe, high quality care – time after time.
Morrison received The Joint Commision Gold Seal of Approval
To earn and maintain The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval, an organization must undergo an on-site survey by a Joint Commission surveyor or team at least every three years. Joint Commission standards address the organization’s level of performance in key functional areas, such as patient rights, patient treatment, and infection control. Standards set forth performance expectations for activities that affect the safety and quality of patient care.
The Joint Commission conducted a comprehensive review of all Morrison programs and services including the support provided by our administrative departments through the Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Manual.
Morrison received the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission.
This is a big deal, as this means that we were recognized for the delivery of excellent, high quality behavioral health and human services.
During the re-accreditation process Morrison was also recognized for its unique and innovative programs and its skillfulness in meeting standards of care while doing new things.
